Monitoring Amplified Receiver Headset

Wearing this walkman type stereo headset enables the user to distinguish sounds normally not present with normal hearing. The SME SMR-200 incorporates two highly sensitive microphones which are mounted and positioned slightly above each ear. These microphones pick up signals as normal ears would, but are amplified using specially designed circuitry to enhance bird song frequencies and suppress undesirable sounds. This amplified signal is then coupled to the specially designed stereo headset. The signal strength is manually adjusted by means of the built in level control knob. The unit also incorporates a built in limiter, a power on/off switch and (LED) battery indicator. The unit is also powered by a single "AA" battery.
